Some of you truly believe that a wall will diminish the American economic demand for cheap labor, drugs, and illegal sex from the black market.
It sounds like it’s the pesky Americans that are the problem, not pesky Mexicans.
It’s all rooted in economics. Government intervention made these problems, and as Mises points out in Interventionism, failed government intervention rarely results in a removal of intervention. Further government intervention and interference in your daily life will be called upon to fix the problems.
What happens when the wall fails? Further restrictions on your freedom of movement? Government surveillance in your daily patterns?
Price floors, minimum wages, and the drug war got us here. How much farther will it keep going?
